“Geo” originates from the Greek word for “Earth.” The name Geo Elements, or “Earth Elements,” was inspired by my fascination with the Fibonacci spiral found in nature, particularly in the ammonite fossil. In Feng Shui, the ammonite fossil is revered for its ability to bring positive energy, balance, and abundance to its surroundings, promoting harmony and prosperity. It is also known as the “wealth stone” or the stone of “Chi Lin,” a Chinese mythical creature.
The ammonite fossil became the logo of my initial venture, a property maintenance and landscaping business focusing on enhancing gardens rather than mere maintenance, catering to clients open to creative collaboration.
Geo Elements Studio is a passionate diversification project—a separate creative endeavour delving into the creative world to explore new possibilities and to collaborate with organisations, local councils, and others, bringing creative projects to life.
About Me As The Artist
I was born in Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo, and now based in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia. I am a multidisciplinary artist known for my distinctive drawings in character art or semi-realistic art styles, as well as my kinetic art or automata sculptures.
In my drawings, I explore a variety of mediums including graphite, colour pencil, oil pastel, watercolour, and ink on paper. My automata sculptures are crafted from discarded materials such as cardboard, paper, wood, tree branches, and found objects.
My artistic journey revolves around capturing the beauty, colour, texture, and structure of my subjects. Through my creative expression, I aim to convey my emotions and perspectives, sparking curiosity, stimulating reflection, and inspiring actions.
I aspire to continually explore unconventional methods to create impactful artworks and to share my learning experiences and knowledge with others with hopes that others will derive enjoyment, satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment in their own creative pursuits.
In 2022, I won the freestyle category of the Faber-Castell Australia Colour4Life 2022 Competition for my intricately detailed artwork created with colour pencils and graphite. Titled “Save Earth Before It’s Too Late”, the piece prominently features an ark symbolising “Hope”, surrounded by a diverse array of animals. This composition contrasts the vitality of life on Earth with the sobering realities of environmental disasters, pollution, deforestation, and war.
Colour4Life 2024 Entry themed: Artwork that represent me!
This artwork tells the story about me, my work, my art styles, and the materials I use. It also reflects my win in Colour4Life 2022, which inspires me to create more art focussed on raising awareness on nature and wildlife conservations.
